Nate the Great and the Missing Tomatoes by Andrew Sharmot

Reading level: Early Elementary

It’s really hard to argue with a kid who helps his friends find their missing vegetables. (Or are tomatoes a fruit?!)

Things I liked:

• Nate cleans up after himself when he makes a mess in the kitchen—without being asked!

My only critique is that the kid calls himself “great” which seems a bit egotistical. But at least he’s not falsely humble. (Besides, he really is great!)
