Reading Level: Early Elementary

Not much longer than a picture book (no chapters!) but shaped like a chapter book, this thoroughly illustrated story captures Rabbit’s transition from a grouchy thief to a repentant friend.

Possible Concerns:

  • Peril. There are some scary bits when a fierce wolf chases rabbit
  • Potty humor. Rabbit is caught eating his own pooh, which apparently is biologically accurate but might not be for your family.

I’m kinda neutral on this one. Overall, I wouldn’t seek this one out but if someone gave it to one of my kids I wouldn’t necessarily get rid of it as long as my kid can handle the potty humor.
