More great mystery stories from this classic series. However, there is a long list of topics that parents may deem inappropriate for their children. The stories include:

  • Tobacco
  • Gunfights
  • Capital punishment via hanging
  • Kidnapping
  • Bank robbery
  • Some boys and Sally (again) choose violence: fist fights (and a nose twist!)
  • Youth firing guns and shooting someone in the foot!
  • Stealing

All these topics are fairly tastefully done, I’m just not sure it’s worth it on this one, unless you want a bit of gentle exposure to tough things in our world. The mysteries are clever (I didn’t figure out a couple of them!) and interesting, so it probably depends on the family for this one.
