Reading Level: Early Elementary

A fun, fast-paced adventure that dog-lovers would enjoy. While on a biking adventure the Alden children offer help to various folks who could use a hand, and they try to help a lost dog find its home.

Potential concerns:

  • Ghosts. Benny comments that he’ll go with Henry into an old abandoned home because he’ll help scare away ghosts. The other children remind him not to worry about ghosts.
  • Friction. A couple accuses the Aldens of stealing a dog that followed them along the road. The couple tries to take the dog and (spoiler alert!) is eventually arrested for stealing other dogs.
