Well this Horrible Harry story has a lot of the same lying and deception that is in some of the other books in the series. However, there are some redeeming events (spoiler alert!):

  • Song Lee confesses to her disobedience
  • A teacher admits she misunderstood a student and could have listened better
  • Harry unselfishly takes the blame for another student, which comes at a cost
  • An interesting math problem plays a prominent role in the story.

I really like how Jong be admitted her mistake. So although I don’t like the deception & disobedience, this is suitable for my bookshelf.
