Rating: I liked it, BUT some families may not

I am rating the short stories in this collection separately because they are all so different, some of which are not for me.

A clever, comical, and mischievous fictional story about a man who picks up a hitchhiker, gets in trouble with the law, and (SPOILER ALERT!) finds that his new companion is a brilliant and somewhat helpful criminal.

Readers need to be able to read the story and enjoy it without attempting to copy the behaviors of the main characters. If so, the story takes a surprising and satisfying twist. Readers encounter (SPOILER ALERTS!):

  • Reckless and irresponsible speeding
  • A description of a man likened to a rat
  • Artful pickpocketing
  • Evasion of the law and its consequences

Important note: I don’t rate all the stories in this collection equally; please beware of others with different ratings.
