I started out reading this as a candidate for my 2nd grade son, but it ended up being therapy for me! The story is about dealing with a toddler—all the frustrating parts and all the funny parts too.
At times, big brother gets frustrated with the toddler and with his parents. At times he feels like they don’t care about him. But in the end big brother comes to a happy resolution, and he knows he is loved & noticed.
If you’re ok with the occasional sibling “shut up!” and an outburst of, “You don’t love me, Mom, all you care about is my younger brother,” then it is a good honest look into the complicated challenges of family life from a kid perspective that everyone can relate to.
