Rating: Not for me

This one has more emphasis on pagan temples to the sun and to the moon. There is even a painting of a pagan worship ceremony honoring the Incan Sun god.

It also seemed inappropriate to me that they say the ruins were “rediscovered” by a white guy who followed a farmer and his boy to the ruins. I don’t think he should get credit for “rediscovering” the ruins if a farmer and his boy knew they were there. This seems like a twisted and insensitive perspective.

I also just felt the descriptions and the experience were less vivid than the others in the series, such as The Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer, and the Taj Mahal. Maybe it’s because we know less about Machu Picchu.
