Although this one didn’t have an image of a girl with a miniscule miniskirt, it still had its issues:

  • Age-inappropriate sex-charged comments about girls and muscles
  • Stranger danger; accepting prizes and rides from strangers
  • Discussion of a haunted blimp; ignoring common sense not entering a sketchy blimp that looks suspicious and run-down.
  • Recklessness jumping from bike to car, riding a car over a cliff
  • Electrocuting enemies (to make matters worse: doing it while still touching them!)

I’m really going to try to distract my son with some different books, because I’m just not impressed.

Can I find anything good to say about it? There is a bit of sacrifice to protect another, some teamwork, good creative imagination about the creatures. But in my book: not enough good to outweigh the bad.
