Minecraft Woodsword Chronicles Book 3: Deep Dive by Nick Eliopilos

Reading Level: Mid-Elementary and above

Although this is not for me, if your kid is into Minecraft, they’re probably familiar with the grotesque zombies and other creatures the team of kids encounter in their Virtual Reality Minecraft World: zombies, drowned undead, creepers that explode, phantoms, and pig-men zombies with flesh falling off their shoulders. The gore and the dark evil fear is just simply not my style.

Otherwise, the messages are pretty healthy: care for resources, problem solving, and sticking together as a team.

A bit of advice: I started with Book 3 because I found it at a thrift store. But I was confused several times, so Book 1 in the Woodsword Chronicles would be a better place to start, and I enjoyed that one much more. Here is my review of that one.
