Rating: My bookshelf

I was laughing out loud several times. Loved it. Families aren’t always Brady bunch; this book captures family drama in a humorous spirit.

Some potential issues:

  • A bit of deceiving/disobedience when the kids try to hide a stray dog from the grown-ups.
  • Less-than neighborly behavior. Sometimes the old crotchety neighbor yells at the family, and sometimes they get sick of it and yell back. This behavior is never condoned; the book is just raw and realistic.

Admittedly, some more tightly wound families might not approve.  But I just loved this and others in the series.
