Possible Concerns:

  • Dishonesty. Hiding the truth from parents, friends, and teachers is unfortunately common in many superhero stories where identities need to be protected. The worst is the statement, “What he (dad) doesn’t know won’t hurt him.” (See examples below.)
  • Bullying.
  • Missing mother. The readers don’t know how or why she left, but they don’t think it was her will to leave the family.
