Rating: I like it, but Some Families may not

Earliest Reading Level: Late Elementary

I never would have guessed it was possible to write such a clever, age-appropriate horror book. Horror is not my genre, but I enjoyed it!

Potential concerns:

  • Horror genre and all it entails: spookiness, darkness, scary creatures, loud screams
  • A few references to demons, in the decor or in horror movie props.

Overall, a story about friendship and courage that is magnificently scary and yet not too scary at all.
