  • Bullying
  • Potty/Body humor (inflatable underpants; I laughed out loud)
  • Distaste for rules or authority
  • Distaste for school, talking about how bad it is

For a kid who likes school and respects authority this is an action-packed and entertaining graphic -novel-ish chapter book. I’d be sure to talk with my reader to really underline how in the end the kids say they liked school because of learning and they help rebuild the school they destroyed. Still for me, I just don’t like books that have kids talking about how they hate school and don’t want to go, even if they have a change of heart at the end. The negative attitude habits are still in place.
