Rating: Not for me
Reading Level: Early Elementary
I can see why people like Junie B. Jones. She has a lot of spunk.
That said, she is really naughty, and she models patterns of thinking that I don’t want my kids to follow.
- “I hate that Jim.” (Says this about another kid)
- Wears Devil horns
- Shouting at grownups when they miss the B in her name
- Calling the bus stupid and smelly
- Saying she could beat that boy up
- Watching TV Instead of eating your meal
- Making a face at other kids
- Thinking the bus door could cut you in half
Her way of looking at things is really entertaining and she’s full of mischief, but I don’t want my kindergartener thinking like her, so I’ll save this for when she’s old enough to laugh at it without copying it.
