Rating: Not for me

Reading Level: Early Elementary

I can see why people like Junie B. Jones. She has a lot of spunk.

That said, she is really naughty, and she models patterns of thinking that I don’t want my kids to follow.

  • “I hate that Jim.” (Says this about another kid)
  • Wears Devil horns
  • Shouting at grownups when they miss the B in her name
  • Calling the bus stupid and smelly
  • Saying she could beat that boy up
  • Watching TV Instead of eating your meal
  • Making a face at other kids
  • Thinking the bus door could cut you in half

Her way of looking at things is really entertaining and she’s full of mischief, but I don’t want my kindergartener thinking like her, so I’ll save this for when she’s old enough to laugh at it without copying it.
