Rating: My bookshelf

Reading Level: Early Elementary

The typical concerns of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and friends are also here:

  • Violence/Aggressive behaviors. Punches, smacks, and threats to pummel another
  • Romance. Lucy is obsessed with Schroeder, and Sally longs for her sweet Babou.
  • Self Esteem/Putdowns. Peers speak poorly of Charlie Brown’s competence and worth.

I’m not a fan of all the Peanuts books, but for this one I think the silliness outweighs the issues listed above. More specifically, the Putdowns of Charlie Brown are at a minimum, which is my main concern with many others.
