Rating: My bookshelf

Level: Early Elementary, Mid-late Elementary

A loyal and hyper dog shares his perspective on obedience school.

Potential Concerns

  • A bit of potty humor
  • A bit of creative name calling (e.g., Prissy-Pants Stricker)
  • Lack of respect for (villain) adults

Overall, it is a fast-paced and silly story that kids will probably like. I find it a bit shallow, but relatively harmless. I did not really like Dog Diaries Book 2: Curse of the Mystery Mutt.

If you’re looking for a fun pet’s perspective, I much prefer and highly recommend Wedgie and Gizmo.
