Rating: Needs Parent Supervision

Reading Level: Mid-Late Elementary (potty/body humor)

I like their Planet Strip Mall book better. This had more potty/body humor and more chaos and violence.

Possible Concerns:

  • Potty humor: clenching your bum, diapers getting filled, references to animal pee, etc.
  • Body humor: underwear jokes, belching, possibly references to “butt,”
  • Violence (typical of superhero stories)
  • Slight sexual references. p. 110 references a song, “Hey Sweetie, How about some Sugar?” Also at one point Rocket is told “You look Hot.” I thought it was a reference to him looking good but it turned out he was actually hot, like high temp hot.

For readers that can handle the potty/body humor, this might ok. For me, it was just too much chaos and car crashing, and not nearly as clever as other books by this author, such as Inspector Flytrap, or the first book in this series, Planet Strip Mall.
