This fictionalized retelling of the story of King David is a new favorite. It might be appropriate for late elementary, but too young and they may miss the deeper beauty.
Possible concerns:
- War, death, danger. All respectfully done.
- Disobeying orders. It needed to happen to defeat the enemy but nevertheless two young boys disobeyed orders from their leader to return to camp and instead sabotaged the enemy. They effectively saved their fountry from losing the war.
Themes
- Honor, trusting the One God who gives us grace.
This really is an absolute gem.
