Rating: My bookshelf
Reading Level: Early Elementary
A sweet dog tries to help his horse friend learn about living on the farm. He doesn’t realize dogs and horses have differences, and leads hai friend astray by mistake.
Possible Concerns:
- None. This one is really clean.
Things I liked:
- Dog makes mistakes in earnest & tries to correct them.
- A friend calls dog out when he is prideful towards beating the young horse in a race.
The pup is generally helpful to his friend and listens to wisdom. I like that he is generally cheerful and curious.
I recommend Book1: Home is Where the Heart Is, Book 2: Raised in a Barn, Book 3: Herd You Loud and Clear, Book 6: Life is Good, and I really like Book 15: How to Spy a Spy! I have also reviewed Book 4: Fireworks Night.
