Rating: My bookshelf, even better with parent discussion
Reading Level: Mid Elementary , Late Elementary
A mother initiates conversation with her son about how p*rn works in the brain to lead to addiction. Although not explained from a faith perspective, all the descriptions and recommendations are biblically sound. Appropriate defenses and responses are offered.
Possible concerns:
- The book introduces the concept of p*rn*graphy. It is very age-appropriate. No actual porn is given as an example; only good pictures are offered. But it and it’s dangers are described.
I can’t recommend this book enough. With such a sensitive topic as p*rnography, yes, it would be better with parent supervision. But even without parent supervision, the book is so well-done that it is a win for my bookshelf.
