Rating: My bookshelf
Reading Level: Late Elementary, Middle School, High School.
Much like in the Rapunzel story, a king recklessly promises his future daughter to a wizard, once she is of marrying age. The princess’s scientific smarts and determination help her battle the wizard and avoid marrying him.
No major concerns. There is magic, of course, but the main emphasis is science (a purer kind of magic)!
Things I liked:
- No discernible political agenda. The author seems to really just want to help people understand Physics.
I was able to follow the physics a bit better in Newton’s Laws: A Fairy Tale, but still enjoyed this one as well, even if I didn’t pick up all the Physics being introduced. See my reviews of all the books in the Fairy Tale Physics series:
