Rating: Needs minor Parent Supervision
Reading Level: Mid-late Elementary
Another silly and far-fetched superhero story of a cat and his Science-loving friend.
Fairly mild in terms of gore, and I like that the women are modestly clad—not bursting with cleavage the way many comic books often are. I also like that the science-loving heroine is a person of color, because we can certainly need more women of color represented in STEM.
A couple minor reasons why it needs parent supervision:
- Weiner jokes maybe? There is a weiner dog that says things about weiners that an immature reader may take the wrong way or a naive reader may repeat without realizing penis innuendos. So I just plan to have a mild conversation with my kid about not making jokes about weiners. I’ve included images below so you can decide for yourself. They seem pretty innocent.

- Dressing up like animals. The main heroine wears cat ears, and I just generally think its weird when people dress up as animals as an every day thing. I know this is a double standard because I love Batman.
