The Dragon Lord Saga Volume 2 The River Fox, a Graphic Novel by Jonny Jimison

Two brothers continue their adventure in a fantasy setting with dragons and goblin creatures. More of the same concerns, plus a few more.

Possible Concerns:

• Human Trafficking / Slavery. A main character is sold into slavery. He and a few friends try to escape, but not everyone makes it.
• Peril. Sword fights, dragon fights, etc.
• Bleeped presumed cuss words. A couple instances of when someone is angry and has quotes like this: “#@+&”. Also “Stupid,” “shut up!” and other somewhat rude expressions.
• An artifact reading a body’s energy. One brother has a necklace whose glow tells whether his brother is still alive.
• Curses. A woman peeked in a forbidden bag and was cursed with sleeplessness because of it.
• Fantasy, dragons, beasts….
• Romance. The older brother continues to objectify and over-romanticize a princess; he begins to get to know her true personality as the book goes on.
• Cowardice. A youth must confront the fact that his enthusiasm for adventure doesn’t match his actual stomach for peril. A “friend” calls him out on his cowardice, sort of trying to burst his bubble. When the friend tries to teach him some defensive skills, he struggles to persist.
