The Hopeful Queen of Clockwork Court by Sarah Allen (Part of the Fairy Tale Physics Series)

A precocious princess want to prove to her father that she’d be a worthy queen, but instead stumbles into adventures that test her intellect, wit and character. A great book that teaches STEM principles to kids in the context of an engaging story and likable characters.

Possible concerns:

• Magic, fantasy, curses, etc.
• Marriage; pressure from the king for his daughter to marry.

There is no kissing, but there is an honarable, heart throb boy who I was rooting for the girl to choose. In the end (Spoiler alert!) I really like that they just continued being good friends without any romance.
