(Rated for upper ages not so much because of content so much as difficult language and writing style.)

A classic, timeless love story with twists of heart and fate.

Possible Concerns:

• Use of the Lord’s name in vain. Lydia often begins expressions with, “Lord!” Another character says, “God!” but I forget who said it.
• Superficiality. Men are often evaluated by their earnings/money rather than their character. Women are often evaluated by their social status or beauty.
