Rating: Needs Parent Supervision

Romantic interests develop. There is more kissing, which is described as not much more than kisses (hands don’t move to any private parts or anything, but it scandalous in their culture and very passionately described. This needs minor Parent Supervision for a high school daughter; it is pretty serious even if not going very far physically. I’d take a pass on younger ages.

Possible Concerns:

  • Romance. There some more passionate kissing. Nothing that is rated R, but it is culturally forbidden and very heartthrobby. She is swept by him. Hands stay in reasonable places: on hip and moving to the small of her back.
  • Grief. When considering whether to enter into courtship, Emma realizes that she’s afraid because the last man she love died in a war.
  • Deaths of two parents. Emma lights candles for her father on his birthday.
